Landlords Required to Supply Recycling Bins

California lawmakers have passed a law requiring some landlords to arrange for recycling services at their rental properties. The Renters Right to Recycle Act requires an owner of a multifamily dwelling with 5 or more living units to provide paper, plastic and can recycling services to their tenants.  This law went into effect back in 2012. Lawmakers expect that the provision of recycling services at residential dwellings will be one of the most effective means of increasing the diversion and recycling of solid waste.
