Worst Landlords of 2011
There are now 317 landlords listed, and the updated Watch List now tracks whether their violations are on the rise or being repaired. The site, which is featured on Craigslist.org to assist apartment hunters, also includes a new list of 176 buildings recently removed from the Watch List because violations like lead paint, infestations and mold have been addressed.
Since first launching the Watch List, weve helped to successfully pressure landlords to improve the safety and living conditions for thousands of New Yorkers, said Public Advocate Bill de Blasio.
