Jail Time for Realtor Accused of Forging Termite Reports
According to a report, the man was accused of forging signatures on pest reports that were relied upon by lenders. None of the properties were actually infested with termites.
The agent faced a total of 14 counts, all felonies.
A hefty jail sentence — up to five years — was ordered, then suspended. Instead, the 31-year-old will serve one month in jail, three years probation, perform community service, and pay restitution to victims who were forced to pay for termite inspections.
The agent had earned a number of top sales awards.
