Sublease Agreement

Sublease Agreement

What is a Sublease Agreement ?
A sublease agreement form is a contract between an existing tenant and a subtenant, usually either a roommate or a replacement tenant, and the landlord. The new tenant is now subletting the unit, in other words, they are taking over the terms of the original lease agreement. The current tenant and new roommate or replacement tenant are all now contractually obligated to fulfill the original lease agreement. While a landlord may opt to release the original tenant, it is in the landlord's best interest to keep all parties tied to the contract.
