A tenant in Easton, Pennsylvania has filed a lawsuit against his landlord after he was hit by a car while disposing of his trash.
The man was injured while carrying trash bags to a bin located across the street from his apartment. According to a news report, the tenant claims the landlord was negligent for not supplying a safer location for the trash bin.
The trash disposal service is also named in the lawsuit.
The tenant, who told reporters he had lived in the building for four years prior to the accident, suffered significant injuries.
He says both the landlord and the disposal company are at fault for creating a situation they should have known was dangerous. He is asking for $50,000 in damages, according to the report.
