Is New Self-Help Rental Tour a Good Idea?

There is a new service now available that allows renters to self-tour a vacancy without the landlord.  It is the first no appointment showing site for rental properties. According to its founders, two college students and renters, Rently.com was designed to free apartment hunters from the hassles of the back and forth of calling to schedule a tour.  They say it also makes showing vacancies easier for landlords and managers by eliminating time spent on the phone and in transit to unproductive showings.
