General Terms:
Member acknowledges that member shall not hold American Apartment Owners Association (AAOA) responsible for any content or information received from this website or any material otherwise made available to member by AAOA. This shall include, but not be limited to, news articles, blogs, advertisements, editorials, testimonials, vendor claims, email, or any other information provided by AAOA. Member is solely responsible for applicability of any information or content derived from AAOA. The AAOA website and its contents are protected by international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute in any way any material from this website, including code and software, without advance written permission. The materials in this site are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind either express or implied. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, AAOA disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Membership Term:
Free memberships are open-ended, do not require renewal, and do not expire. There are no annual fees. Limited, Executive and Premium memberships are generally one year (other than promotional extensions) and must be renewed annually. Limited, Executive and Premium memberships that do not renew revert to free membership status.

AAOA Limited, Executive and Premium memberships are automatically renewable. Limited, Executive and Premium members will receive renewal notices approximately 30 days and 7 days prior to expiration. Member herein agrees that, unless AAOA is notified to the contrary prior to the expiration date, the membership shall automatically be renewed for the same period as was initially ordered (less promotional extensions). Automatic renewal guarantees the member continued access to AAOA, and its vendor discounts and tenant screening, if applicable, will be uninterrupted. In the event a Limited, Executive or Premium member fails to renew, their membership will automatically be downgraded and all discounts and benefits will be suspended until membership is reinstated. In the event a member desires to cancel a renewal, a cancellation request must be received in writing, no later than 30 days after the charge, and is subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the advertised annual fee. In the event a member that wishes to cancel a membership charge has (1)purchased other goods or services and/or (2)received promotional benefits offered during the aforementioned 30 day cancellation period, the request for cancellation and refund will be denied.

The Super Saver program is an option available to any member. Free, Limited and Executive members shall pay an annual fee of $19.95 to participate in the Super Saver program. The Super Saver program is included at no additional charge to all Premium members in good standing. As an AAOA member, you understand and agree that any Super Saver annual cost is non-refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, if a partner is deleted from the Super Saver program during that year. AAOA can not guarantee, and is not responsible for, any discounts, claims, representations, or products offered by any Super Saver partners. AAOA can not guarantee, and is not responsible for, the ongoing participation of its partners in the Super Saver program. AAOA reserves the right to add and delete partners from the Super Saver program without notice.

In the event a member (paid or unpaid) is suspected of any type of abuse of the AAOA, in violation of any terms and conditions outlined herein, or in any other way is suspected of any improprieties against AAOA, its members, vendors, or partners, AAOA reserves the right to cancel any free or paid memberships, at any time, without notice.

Refund Policy:
Due to the nature of the goods and services provided, AAOA is unable to offer any refund for membership dues or fees, tenant screening reports, books, software, classes, or any other products, services or advice purchased directly or indirectly from AAOA or any vendor, advertiser or partner of AAOA.

General Conditions:
AAOA does not warrant that this website or any of its functions will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site, including bulletin boards, or the servers that make it available, are free of viruses or other harmful components. AAOA does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the materials in this site or in third-party sites in terms of their correctness, accuracy, timeliness, reliability or otherwise. You assume the entire cost of all necessary maintenance, repair or correction. The information you obtain from this website may affect or be affected by legal issues, rights, and responsibilities that are regulated by federal, state, and/or local laws, statutes, ordinances, and regulations. It is your obligation, and not that of AAOA and its affiliates, employees, contractors, agents and assigns, to ensure that the information and how you choose to apply it complies with any such laws, statutes, ordinances, and regulations. The user name and password utilized to gain access to the AAOA website is for the sole use of its member. Transferring or sharing your username and/or password with anyone who is not a registered member of AAOA is a violation of this agreement. In the event your username and/or password is transferred or shared with any unauthorized persons or companies, AAOA reserves all rights to pursue all participants to the full extent of the law. AAOA will pursue all criminal and civil remedies available. AAOA reserves the right to deny membership to anyone. AAOA reserves the right to cancel membership at any time and without cause. In the event AAOA cancels a membership, the prorated amount of remaining annual membership dues shall be returned less any distributed promotional discounts.

Credit Report Availability:
Joining AAOA does not guarantee approval for access to credit reports. AAOA has partnered with a third party to provide credit, criminal and eviction data in the form of tenant screening reports. Member must sign a separate service agreement and provide substantial documentation for approval. The underwriting and approval process is not controlled by AAOA. Upon registration with AAOA, member will receive, via email, a list of required documents and a service agreement for signature. Upon receipt of your signed service agreement and accompanying documents by our third party partner, it will be reviewed and underwritten within 1-2 business days. There is no additional charge for approval.

By using this site, member acknowledges and agrees that the information provided by AAOA and its affiliates, employees, contractors, agents and assigns, is one of convenience only, and you do not rely on AAOA and its affiliates, employees, contractors, agents and assigns, to provide you with advice concerning the facts and circumstances unique to your situation. If you are uncertain about the meaning or effect of any information provided by AAOA, you agree that you will obtain outside counsel.
