New Apartment Scoring Tool Gaining Momentum

A new rental scoring service is expanding from New York City into both the Chicago and Boston markets.

The start up, Rentenna.com has gained increasing momentum from its proprietary apartment-scoring algorithm, and interactive apartment search and comparison tool that rates rental buildings on a scale of 1-99. The service helps apartment seekers quickly and efficiently sort through thousands of options to find their ideal rental.

Over the past year Rentenna.com, was covered in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Curbed, Crains New York, tens of real-estate publications and blogs, and was named to AGBeats 60 Genius Brands to Watch list.

Rentenna offers a popular app that allows renters to see how far away their favorite celebrities live in NYC, and a pin-board tool where renters can Pin properties and share user-created collections of rental buildings with their roommates.

“Listed in Businessweek and Forbes as the top rental markets in the United States and places to live in 2012 for 20-somethings, Chicago and Boston were Rentenna’s next logical choices for expansion, explains Co-founder Alicia Schwartz. As a result, Rentenna has over 18,000 buildings rated for Chicago and over 10,000 buildings rated for Boston at launch, with thousands of available listings live in both cities. We are excited for Rentenna to become the new rental staple for both Chicago and Boston renters.
