Super star Tom Cruise and wife, actress Katie Holmes, have reportedly agreed to rent their Beverly Hills home to actor Russell Crowe. The home, built in 1927, is being rented to Crowe, his wife and two children for $25,000 per week while Crowe is in Los Angeles filming a new movie.

Cher Lists Home for $45 million
Singer and actress, Cher, has listed her 14,000 square foot Malibu home for sale. The home, which sits on 1.7 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean, has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a theater, gym and tennis court. The home was built in 1992 and has been featured in Architectural Digest.

Basketball Star Shaquille O’Neal Reduces Asking Price
Shaq’s 20,000 square foot home in Miami Beach has been on the market for $32 million for some time now. He has just agreed to lower the asking price down to $29 million. Shaq purchased the home, which sits on 2.5 acres, in 2004 for $19 million. The eight bedroom home has an indoor basketball court, gym and sauna.

Husband and wife country music superstars, Brooks and Yearwood, have purchased a 3,700 square foot beach home in Malibu for just under $5 million. The three bedroom, 4 bath home sits on a half acre behind gates in a wooded part of Malibu.

Tony Danza Sells Home for $5 Million
Star of “Taxi” and “Who’s the Boss” has sold his 6,700 square foot home in Longridge Estates. Originally listed for $6.15 million, Danza was the victim of a weak real estate market and ultimately agreed on the reportedly lower price. The home, located in the Los Angeles suburb of Sherman Oaks, has five bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and sits on 2.3 acres. The Cape Cod style home is gated and has a separate guest house, tennis court, and a pool.

Singer Songwriter Christina Aguilera Lists Home
Christina Aguilera has listed her 6,500 square foot, Hollywood home for just under $8,000,000. The home has a 1,200 square foot master suite, a gym, a screening room that seats 18 and a spa that seats 12. Aguilera has reportedly already purchased her next home; an 11,500 square foot home in Beverly Hills. The new home was purchased from Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and has 6 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Aguilera who is only 27 years old, paid about $11.5 million for the Beverly Hills home.
Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd Move to Pacific Palisades
Aykroyd and actress wife, Donna Dixon, have purchased a 5,200 square foot home in the exclusive Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles for $14.5 million. Pacific Palisades is a small community nestled between Malibu and Santa Monica and has amongst the wealthiest residents in the city. This purchase follows the sale of a 4,000 square foot home in Hollywood for 3.8 million and the sale of a smaller home off the Sunset Strip for a little over $2 million.
Tonight Show Sidekick Ed McMahon in Foreclosure
Long time announcer for Johnny Carson and pitchman for scores of products including Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes, Ed McMahon, is facing foreclosure of his Beverly Hills home. The 85 year old host of Star Search is behind more than $600,000 on a 4.8 million loan made by Country Wide Home Loans in 2005. The Mediterranean mansion is in the exclusive Summit area of Beverly Hills and is surrounded with other celebrity homes such as Britney Spears. McMahon purchased the six bedroom, five bath, 7,000 foot home in 1990.
Baseball Slugger Jose Canseco in Foreclosure
Previous American League Rookie of the Year and admitted steroid user Jose Canseco, 43, has lost his home to foreclosure. His 7,300 square foot home located in the Encino, a suburb of Los Angeles, was lost to the lender. The delinquent debt totaled more than $2.5 million.

Evander Holyfield Facing Foreclosure
Former heavy weight champion Evander Holyfield appears to be the latest celebrity facing financial woes. A home in Fayette County, Georgia owned by the boxer is in foreclosure. The home, valued at approximately $10 million is scheduled to be auctioned by the lender in early July. Unconfirmed reports from AP also state that Holyfield is allegedly behind in child support payments.

Johnny Depp, John Stamos, and Frankie Muniz Share an Address
Depp, star of countless movies including Pirates of the Caribbean, Stamos, best known for his long running role as Uncle Jesse in Full House, and Muniz of Malcom in the Middle fame, have reportedly all purchased units in the same downtown Los Angeles building. The Art Deco Eastern Columbia Building has been refurbished into condos and loft units selling for as much as $3 million. The property, originally built in 1929, has been developed by Kor Group and boasts beautiful common areas, a roof top pool, and a fitness studio.
Ellen DeGeneres sells out in Santa Barbara
The four bedroom Spanish style home sold for $20 million to Eric Schmidt, chief executive at Google. The 1926 home, located in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara, was refurbished by DeGeneres. It includes a wine cellar, guest cottage, pool and tennis court.

Schwarzenegger invests in Santa Barbara
The Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, have recently purchased a 25 acre home site in Rancho Monte Alegre. The site is part of a larger 2,800 acre ranch that has been divided into separate sites. The Gov reportedly paid about $4.7 million for the site that requires a minimum 4,500 square foot home be built.

Country Singer Kenny Chesney Hits the Beach
Local agents report that Chesney, a three time Academy of Country Music entertainer of the year winner, purchased a five bedroom home in Carbon Canyon area of Malibu. The home has approximately 4,000 square feet and includes an outdoor Italian oven/barbeque, a vineyard, wine cellar and infinity pool. The 7.5 million dollar home also has two guest houses. Chesney also recently listed his 10,000 plus square foot home in U.S. Virgin Island of St. John for sale for $14 million.

The 4,800 square foot home built in 1970 has been listed by its current owner for nearly $5,000,000. Sitting on 9 acres, the estate includes a helicopter pad, a two bedroom guest house and separate pool house with kitchen. Also included in the main house is nine fireplaces, a movie theater, his and hers saunas and basketball court. The estate has parking for 24 cars. Built in 1970 the home is in the Mountain Center area of Palm Desert above the exclusive El Paseo shopping area.
Julio Iglesias Purchases Miami Mansion
A Mediterranean style, 6,300 square foot, four bedroom home has been purchased for around $7,000,000. The Spanish singer’s new home has four bedrooms and sits on 1.2 acres with nearly 150 feet of frontage on the water. The home was originally listed for $8.75 million.

Spiderman Completes a Superhero Deal
Actor Tobey Maguire, best known for his portrayal as Spiderman, has purchased a home site in Los Angeles for $10 million. The 32 year old actor plans on building a new home on the one acre lot located in the Brentwood area. Maguire recently sold his Hollywood Hills home for $11 million after purchasing it in 2002 for $3.7 million. Maguire and his wife hope to start construction on their new Brentwood home soon.
Will and Grace Star Lists Home
Sean Hayes, who played Jack McFarland in the popular sitcom Will and Grace, has listed his Los Angeles home for $9 million. The home, built in 1930, is located in the Hancock Park area and has four bedrooms, five bathrooms and nearly 6,000 square feet. The English Country style home is gated and has walnut floors, a butler’s pantry and library overlooking the yard and pool.

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne Pulls Home Off Market
Singer and reality TV stars, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have taken their Malibu beach home off the market after nearly two years. The home, originally listed for $14,000,000 has been reduced several times over the past 24 months and was last listed for $11,000,000, is now available for rent for $85,000 per month over the summer. The three level home is located on the La Costa section of Malibu. Last year, the Osbournes sold their Bel-Air mansion that was featured in the MTV reality show for $11,000,000 to singer Christina Aguilera.
Baseball All Star, Mike Piazza, Makes Miami His Home
Former Dodger and Mets Catcher, Mike Piazza and his Playboy Playmate wife, Alicia Rickter have bought a $10,000,000 home in Miami. The eight bedroom, nine bathroom home is 9,600 square feet and is on about 100 feet of waterfront land. Built in 2001, the home is Mediterranean style and has a state of the art kitchen, pool, and elevator.

Saturday Night Live’s Dan Aykroyd is Selling in L.A. and New York
The Ghost Busters star and SNL alum has recently sold a home in Los Angeles for $3,800,000 and has another list in the Hollywood Hills for $2.6 million. Concurrently, Aykroyd has listed his New York condo for $7,000,000. The 55 year old comedian purchased the Hollywood home in 1987 for just over $700,000 and was previously owned by singer Mama Cass Elliot and actress Beverly D’Angelo.
Jaime Pressly Lists Her Tarzana Home For a Second Time
Pressly, best known for her Emmy winning role in “My Name Is Earl”, has put her 3,000 square foot home on the market for the second time in two years. Originally listed in 2006 for $1.4 million, the home has now been remodeled and put back on the market for $1.3 million. The 30 year old actress supervised the remodel of the San Fernando Valley home. The gated estate includes a pool, spa and koi pond with gazebo.

Star of 1970’s sitcom “Three’s Company” and ThighMaster promoter Suzanne Somers has put her 65 acre Palm Springs home on the market. Somers, who along with her husband Alan Hamel, lost their Malibu home in a recent fire, recently acquired a 50 acre parcel in Palm Springs and plans to build a new home there.

Star of “National Treasure: Book of Secrets: Nicholas Cage had listed his BelAir, California home for $35,000,000. Cage, who purchased the 12,000 square foot mansion in 1998 for $7,000,000, had a difficult time given the current real estate climate. At the same time, Cage also has taken two other properties he owns in the San Francisco area off the market. A home and adjacent lot were listed for a little more than $9,000,000.
Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz tries to sell again
Singer Lenny Kravitz has listed his 6,000 square foot condominium in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. Originally listed in 2005 for just under 13 million dollars, Mr. Kravitz has now re-listed it for 19.5 million. Purchased in 2000 for $8 million dollars the unit has five bedrooms, a media room and glass staircase. The building also has been the home of other celebrities such as Courtney Love.
