Property Managers, Landlords and Property Management companies generally may not have a plan to handle the worst flu year especially with the spread of H1N1 (Swine Flu).In case of H1N1 spread in a large multi-family unit, they will have to coordinate with local health and community organizations such as local public health department and other city departments. Therefore, it is very important to think about the rights and responsibilities of property managers, landlords, and property management companies. The responsibility lies clearly with the tenant and so property managers, landlords and property management companies should avoid telling tenants what to do and what not to do. It is also clear that they do not have much control over the tenants. The good news is that general limitation of liability protects them.
